Friends–Boston Selected as a 2015 Recipient of the Cummings Foundation $100K for 100

We were granted $100,000 from the Cummings Foundation.

Friends of the Children–Boston was selected in 2015 as one of the recipients of $100K for 100 by the Cummings Foundation. Through an extremely competitive process, the Cummings Foundation annually selects 100 organizations from around Massachusetts and grants them $100,000. Based on budget size, funds are dispersed over two or four years.

About the Cummings Foundation and Bill and Joyce Cummings

Joyce and Bill Cummings established Cummings Foundation in 1986. The firm Bill founded in 1970, Cummings Properties, was thriving. The Winchester, Massachusetts, couple wanted to give back in the Greater Boston areas where their business operated and where its staff and clients lived. The Foundation has awarded more than $130 million in grants in Greater Boston alone in recent years.

In 2011, Joyce and Bill joined the Giving Pledge, an organization founded by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet, through which some of the world’s wealthiest people have pledged to donate at least half of their assets for philanthropic purposes. Find out more here.
