Generational poverty can be broken. We've been doing it for over 14 years.
Children born into poverty are at risk for dropping out of school, substance abuse, incarceration and teen parenting. We provide a salaried, professional mentor, called a Friend, for their entire childhood, from kindergarten through graduation. 12+ years. No matter what.
We select children facing the highest risks. We help them change their stories.
90% of our youth are on track to graduate high school.
Although 41% have parents who did not.
99% have avoided the juvenile justice system.
Although 48% have parents who have been incarcerated.
100% have avoided early parenting.
Although 25% were born to a teen parent.
We commit to each child for the long-term. 12 ½ years. No matter what.
Each child is paired with a salaried, professional mentor called a Friend.
We believe generational change happens one story at a time.
