Rue grew up in Nashville, TN where they started as a youth educator in 2015. Since then, Rue continued mentoring throughout high school before studying Social Work at Simmons University. They graduated with a BSW in 2022 and continued mentoring post grad before joining Friends.Currently, Rue serves as an Adolescent Youth Advocate at Friends of the Children Boston, making a lasting impact on the lives of young people by advocating for their needs and fostering their personal and academic growth. Rue’s favorite activities are spending time in nature and doing artistic projects with youth.
