Friends of the Children — Boston and National Grid Foundation Bring Environmental Learning to Achievers
At Friends of the Children – Boston, we believe that learning should spark curiosity, build confidence, and help young people see the role they can play in shaping the world around them. This spring, we partnered with National Grid Foundation and Change is Simple to bring two environmental education workshops to our Achievers.
Through the generous support of National Grid Foundation, the team at Change is Simple will lead two hands-on workshops designed to help Achievers explore important topics like climate, energy, and sustainability in ways that are interactive, empowering, and relevant to their everyday lives.
The workshops:
April 1 – Climate & Energy Workshop
Achievers explored where energy comes from, how it powers our communities, and how thoughtful choices can help protect our planet.
May 29th – Sustainability & Environmental Action Workshop
Achievers examined the ways individuals and communities can take action to care for the environment and build a more sustainable future.
We are deeply grateful to National Grid Foundation for investing in opportunities that expand learning for our Achievers and to Change is Simple for bringing their passion and expertise in environmental education to our community.
Both sessions gave our Achievers space to ask questions, test ideas, and connect environmental concepts to the world around them. We are grateful to National Grid Foundation and Change is Simple for making these experiences possible.
