Make Lasting Change

Individuals, civic groups, and businesses can help year-round. There are many ways volunteers can have an impact at Friends of the Children. For example, providing administrative support, in-kind facility maintenance projects, tutoring services, or job shadowing. These are just a few examples of the many ways you can help us create generational change!

Professional Services: Friends-Boston is always looking for individuals who could donate time to photograph events, create small marketing projects, and procure donations. If you have a special talent you would like to share, this could be a great opportunity.

Year Round Giving Projects: Support Friends-Boston staff in helping support our youth year-round. There are multiple opportunities, such as the Holiday Giving through Frosty's Friends, Back to School Backpacks, and Winter Weather Gear Drive, where Friends staff could use assistance in organizing/coordinating and purchasing various gifts/donations we receive.

Office Support: Occasionally, Friends-Boston needs support with large projects. Come organize, address envelopes, stuff stamp and seal. Projects typically take 3 hours.

FriendRaiser: The first Thursday in May: Our biggest fundraising event of the year needs friendly, energetic, and organized volunteers to help with tasks such as welcoming guests, registration, check out, and clean up. FriendRaiser is a time to celebrate our youth’s accomplishments and our volunteers really help set the tone of a fun and memorable evening. Shifts range on average about four hours and food, beverages, swag, and training is all provided by Friends-Boston.
