An Open House to Remember!
Thank you to City Council President Andrea Campbell, Councilor Kim Janey, Chief of Health & Human Services Marty Martinez, BPD, and our Supporters including the Kraft family for making our first Open House in our new space a success!
A Message From Executive Director Yi-Chin Chen.....
Our hearts are full of gratitude for the warm welcome and excitement we received from our community at our grand opening and ribbon cutting on Tuesday night!
It’s been 8 months since we moved into our new headquarters in Dudley Square. Since then, we have grown our team to a mighty community of 22 full time staff, welcomed our largest group of 24 kindergarteners in the spring and sent our fourth class of high school graduates off to college and the professional workforce. Each day, we see our Achievers transform and we cannot be prouder and more inspired!
We know this is only the beginning. Over the next couple of years, we will be expanding our community and school partnerships, increasing the number of youth served by an additional 30% while deepening our support to our graduates so they can continue to grow and contribute back to the Friends-Boston’s community. We look forward to working in partnership with all of you to make sure every one of our Achievers can realize their hopes and dreams!
If you missed the Open House and would like to visit, please email me. We'd love to host you. As our district City Councilor, Kim Janey, shared during our event, It Takes a Village. We are grateful that you all are a part of our village.
P.S. A very special thank you to City Council President Andrea Campbell, Councilor Kim Janey, Chief of Health & Human Services Marty Martinez, BPD, and our supporters including the Kraft family and State Street for making our first Open House in our new space a success!
