Watch Our Achievers Make Lemonade!

One of our annual traditions here at Friends–Boston is a Lemonade Stand hosted by our Elementary Achievers. Each year the Achievers learn about all aspects of the Lemonade business, from product development to customer service to budgeting and each year they choose a local organization to receive a portion of their proceeds.

This year, our Elementary Achievers have taken Lemonade Day online. Through Zoom meetings with their mentors, they have created budgets, researched local social issues and community organizations, made fresh lemonade from scratch and decorated over one hundred keychain hand sanitizer bottles for donors. They are so excited to share their work with you and to ask for your donation.

To Benefit City Life/Vida Urbana:

For this year’s fundraiser, the Elementary Achievers have selected City Life/Vida Urbana to receive a portion of their proceeds. City Life/Vida Urbana is a grassroots community organization committed to fighting for racial, social and economic justice and gender equality by building working-class power. The focus of their work is on helping working-class people remain in their homes and resist displacement. The Elementary Achievers believe that stable housing is a right and a necessity for working families, especially during COVID-19.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will also allow Friends–Boston to continue providing responsive, intentional and supportive services to our Achievers and their families, no matter what!
